Musiala collapses again after just a few minutes, Bayern anxious ahead of the German Super Cup

(Football results) Bayern Munich wrapped up their pre-season campaign with a 4-2 win against Heidenheim, yet the spotlight after the match shifted to Jamal Musiala as the German international once again faced physical problems on the field.

Bayern Munich had a successful dress rehearsal for the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup by defeating Heidenheim 4-2, although Vincent Kompany's team found themselves trailing twice during the match.

Heidenheim started stronger and took an early lead through Yannik Wagner. Bayern gradually regained control, and Felipe Chávez equalized with a well-taken free kick.

However, Julian Niehues restored the home side's advantage before half-time. After the break, Bayern stepped up their game. Arijon Ibrahimović converted a penalty to make it 2-2, before Luis Díaz and Nathaniel Brown each scored to complete a 4-2 comeback victory.

This match also marked the return of several Bayern key players who joined the squad late due to the World Cup, including Harry Kane and Michael Olise. Olise quickly made his mark by providing an assist for Díaz's goal.

Nevertheless, Bayern's win was overshadowed by Jamal Musiala's condition.

The German star was brought on in the second half but played only a few minutes before suddenly collapsing to the ground without any contact from an opponent. Musiala was then able to leave the pitch on his own.

Notably, this is the second time in just four days that the 23-year-old has experienced a similar incident. Previously, Musiala also had to leave a friendly against RB Leipzig, causing concern among teammates and fans.

After the match against Heidenheim, Musiala directly addressed his condition. The Bayern midfielder stated that he has been diagnosed with brief, temporary episodes of loss of consciousness, stemming from a neurological dysfunction. According to Musiala, the condition is treatable, and he is under close medical supervision.

Musiala also affirmed that he feels fine and is very optimistic. The German player said that after thorough discussions with neurologists, he has been cleared to continue normal activities and pursue his football career.

However, the incident occurring just before the first official match of the season will certainly make Bayern especially cautious. The Bavarian club will visit Borussia Dortmund on Saturday for the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup.
